Moses Sanctuary

Friday, October 24, 2008, we visited a life-size replica of Moses Sanctuary. This included the Courtyard, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. Also, there were life-size replicas of the furniture. It was a 75 minute tour. The young lady explained to us each step that the Israelites made and the role of all the priest including the High Priest. She thoroughly explained why the furniture was on certain sides of the sanctuary and what the different colors meant. It was the best presentation I had ever seen. She gave scripture reference and then tied Christ' Crucifixion symbolically to every thing in Moses Sanctuary. I thought I knew what there was to know about the Ark of the covenant and everything there in. But was I wrong. I walked away from there feeling as though I had been in God's presence.

The tour was completely free. I was surprised to see Hamilton County school buses parked in the parking lot when we arrived. I was so glad that they got not just a history lesson that day, but they were shared the gospel as well. I know that a seed was planted in their lives that day.

As for my kids, they really enjoyed it as well. They made several comments about how it was so neat to see things that we had read about in the Bible. You don't see much of that these days. I was also surprised at how much my kids remembered some of the things that she talked about. She asked my kids a lot of questions (They were the only kids on the tour). We were some really proud parents that day.

God has really blessed this company "Messiah's Mansion". It was by His acts that got this to Chattanooga. It was no easy task. It takes over 700 man hours to set up and tear down. They travel all over America sharing the gospel. Look for it your hometown. You must see it.

We went on the first day (my parents were in town), and it was sooo crowded that we waited FOREVER, and once the sun went down, it grew so cold, and when we were moved to the top of the next line to go inside, we realized that we were going to have to wait quite a bit more...so we left! Wahh! I wished you had called me to go with you! "Maybe...next time!"
Do you have the "Rose Book of Bible Charts, Maps & Time Lines"? It's an extremely helpful book with lots of information in it!

AAHHHH! I wished we could have gone together. I hate you missed it. It was one of those last minute things. Lynn woke up Fri. morning and said let's go. Which by the time we go there, it was raining really good and very cold too. No, I do not have that book that you are talking about. I'll look for it.
